Intro to Argentine Tango

This is a drop-in class with social dance to follow.

From the low class to the high class, everyone loves the Argentine Tango. Growing out of the depths of early 20th century brothels in Buenos Aires, the Argentine Tango was banned from ballrooms for quite some time. It is now highly regarded as one of the most sophisticated dances and we are so excited to share it with you! This series will focus on the basic foundations of tango, working up to more advanced concepts over time. Skills include, the tango walk, eight count basic, pivots and turns...moving on to more advanced moves such as the ocho, media luna, ocho cortado and more! No partner is necessary to attend class.
